'Fica uma lição', diz Crivella após desabamento de prédios no Rio

O prefeito do Rio, Marcelo Crivella (PRB), disse hoje que "fica uma lição" do desabamento de dois prédios nesta manhã na comunidade da Muzema, na zona oeste da capital fluminense. As edificações que caíram não foram autorizadas pelos órgãos fiscalizadores, segundo a prefeitura.

Para Crivella, formado em engenharia civil, a lição é que, "quando a prefeitura notificar, multar, pelo amor de Deus, não continuem as obras, porque tem risco de vida".

De acordo com a prefeitura carioca, a região onde estão as edificações é "dominada por milícia" e houve dificuldade para os fiscais chegarem ao local. Isso aconteceu apenas em novembro de 2018, com apoio da Polícia Militar.

Os prédios são irregulares porque estão em uma APA (Área de Proteção Ambiental). As obras chegaram a ser interditadas na ocasião.

"A prefeitura já havia notificado, comunicou o Ministério Público, veio aqui, tentou interditar, lançou diversas multas e infrações, mas, infelizmente, as obras continuaram", disse Crivella em vídeo publicado hoje em sua página no Facebook. "Peço a todos que orem por nós", afirmou Crivella, que esteve no local do desabamento.

Ao menos duas pessoas morreram --um adulto e uma criança, ambos do sexo masculino. Há também feridos, de acordo com o último levantamento da Defesa Civil. Ainda há pessoas desaparecidas.
